Wilberforce Laate

Wilberforce Laate holds an MA in Governance and Sustainable Development from the University of Cape Coast. He also holds a Diploma in Youth in Development Work from the Commonwealth Youth Programme and the University of Ghana. He initially trained as an agriculturist at the Ejura Agricultural College and worked with the Ministry of Food and Agriculture as well as the Presbyterian Agricultural Station at Abokobi.

As the Deputy Executive Director of CIKOD responsible for the Southern Ghana. He has facilitated several trainings for Traditional Authorities and Civil Society Organizations on their role in local governance and the management of Natural Resources. He has also facilitated the development of Training Manuals and Guides on WASH and Community Development for use by Development Practitioners and Community Workers. He currently leads CIKOD’s Agroecology work in Southern Ghana as well as coordinates the Ghana Agroecology Movement.
